Earth Day, celebrated annually on April 22, is a global event dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues and promoting sustainability. First observed in 1970, it has grown into a worldwide movement, inspiring millions to take action through activities like tree planting, clean-up efforts, and advocacy for policies that protect the planet. The day serves as a reminder of the importance of environmental stewardship and the need for collective action to combat climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. Lake Forest II celebrates this special day on the following Saturday. We have planted over 250 trees during our Earth Day celebrations, and look forward to many more!
